The best wine, a trip to Chateau Mouton Rothschild
Wine Hubwine
Tasting notes
The wine is deep and dark with a shimmering purple hue.
Intense and elegant, it displays seductive aromatic aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant, combined with floral notes of iris and a touch of spice and cedar.
Sweet, juicy flavors lead to a clean and harmoniously moving palate, in which cherry flavors are buried in the structure of bitter, patrician tannins.
Subtle minerality lingers and creates spicy fresh fruit notes.

climatic conditions
"After a mild, colder than average winter, budding occurred early and evenly until the end of March. This was followed by a very dry April, with significant cold spells in between, fortunately we managed to minimize this in the vineyards.
May brought cool and damp weather that slowed vine growth. Accordingly, flowering took place on the desired dates and under excellent conditions, which was caused by a sharp increase in temperature.
From mid-June to mid-July, unsettled and stormy weather became active, which remained viral until the end of the veraison. Fortunately, drought in August and early September stopped the disease, and water stress improved the quality potential of grapes grown on gravelly soils. This period was crucial for the ripening of the pods, the development of the body structure and the appearance of the aroma and taste of the fruit.
Despite the serious threat of disease approaching harvest, the quality of the terroir combined with careful pickers, a responsible and cohesive team working at a steady pace allowed us to deliver a healthy harvest at optimal maturity.
The 2021 vintage, matured under conditions more typical of northern latitudes, shows a return to the vintage's classic balance of a generation ago, yielding fresh, well-balanced and well-structured wines that will reveal their full character over time."
